Dr Christos Pavlidis graduated from The University of Melbourne with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.S.) in 1998.

After gaining experience at numerous teaching hospitals (The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Western Hospital (Footscray), The Williamstown Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Wimmera Base Hospital (Horsham) and Mildura Base Hospital), he commenced working in General Practice. He has had exposure over the years to different types of General Practice and family medicine in metropolitan (East St Kilda, Newport and Spotswood) and rural (Dimboola and Nhill) settings.

He became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (F.R.A.C.G.P.) in 2003.

As part of his work in General Practice, he carried out a research study on ear wax with Dr John Pickering in Dimboola. This research was presented at the Annual Scientific Convention of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, on 9 October 2003 and earned him the 2003 Alan Chancellor Award. The research findings were published in the medical journal Australian Family Physician in April 2005.

He participates in the teaching of medical students.

He speaks Greek fluently to assist non-English speaking patients.
